Product Compatibility
babygator™ is intended for use with compatible frame-based gates. The pre-approved gate requirements are: properly installed, fully ASTM-compliant, and recall-free. It is NOT designed for use with fabric or mesh gates, non-rigid gates, or gates lacking a solid frame. Compatibility may still vary based on gate geometry, height, and installation method. Contact customer care at hello@getbabygator.com if you have any compatibility questions.
Installation Requirements
babygator™ must be installed exactly according to instructions provided through getbabygator.com, connected social safety video instructions, and official safety manuals. Confirm secure attachment before each use. Ensure all components are properly aligned, tightened, and free from gaps or looseness. Do not modify or alter any part of the product.
Supervision Expectations
Nothing replaces direct supervision, including babygator™. A determined child may still climb or overcome barriers. No child‑safety product can prevent all injuries. Parents and caregivers must actively monitor children whenever containment devices are in use.
Intended Use
babygator™ is designed for indoor residential use with compatible baby gates. It is intended to reduce climbing attempts and containment failures. It is not a toy, not a standalone barrier, and not a replacement for adult judgment. Use only as directed.
Limitations of Use
babygator™ does not eliminate all climbing behavior. It does not prevent all injuries. It will not function correctly on fabric or mesh gates, non‑rigid gates, or gates with unusual geometry. It will not perform as intended if installed incorrectly or used outside approved guidelines.
Maintenance & Inspection
Inspect babygator™ and your gate before each use. Check for cracks, looseness, wear, or damage. Clean with mild soap and water only. Replace the product if any component becomes compromised. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or heat sources.
Discontinue Use Conditions
Discontinue use immediately if your gate remains climbable, if any component is damaged, loose, or improperly installed, or if the gate becomes unstable. Discontinue use if your child defeats the barrier in any way or demonstrates behavior that compromises containment.
If your child defeats the barrier, please let us know. Return the product to us directly by contacting hello@getbabygator.com, and we will refund your purchase. With your permission, we would also be grateful for the opportunity to learn how the barrier was defeated so we can improve the product and better anticipate child behavior. Participation in any observation is completely voluntary and should never delay discontinuing use or returning the product.
Age & Behavior Considerations
Children develop climbing skills at different ages. Older siblings may demonstrate climbing behavior that younger children imitate. Multi‑child households require additional caution. Behavior‑aware containment reduces risk but does not eliminate it. Supervised internal observations informed the design; they are preliminary and are not independent safety certification.
