No. babygator is an anti-climb attachment, not a baby gate. It attaches to properly installed, ASTM-compliant, frame-based baby gates to remove the leverage children use to climb. The ASTM requirement applies to the gate, not babygator.
No. babygator is designed to complete an approved baby gate, not replace it. The gate remains the containment barrier while babygator helps reduce climbing attempts.
Stop using the setup until you verify that the gate and babygator are installed correctly and all components are secure. Continue supervising your child and contact babygator support for help. No child-safety product replaces active supervision or prevents every injury.
Teaching and supervision are important, but toddlers are still developing impulse control and the ability to consistently follow instructions after age three.
